ABOUT LEAGUE

Supreme Hockey League - All-Russian ice-hockey competition is a very important and much-needed step in the Russian ice-hockey. 

SHL is a young new organization that promotes the discovery of new talents and is a springboard for conquering great heights. Today SHL has become a successful, self-sufficient and highly organized project that raises the interest of the audience, and fosters "sports" borders. 

Strategically important area of development is the league's policy of rejuvenation. Almost all the SHL clubs have a youth team. League pays great attention to clubs infrastructure. Last season three new sports facilities were built. 

SHL organizes regular broadcasting of leagues matches on federal channels, daily publication in the central specialized related magazines and popular sports internet portals, launching its own monthly online magazine, a television program about SHL, as well as an annual guide to the season. SHL also conducts master classes of Russian ice-hockey legends, charity auctions, educational seminars, training courses and thematic "round tables". 

Each year SHL attracts more audience. This allowed the League to close the top three most visited second-tier leagues in Europe. And in the playoffs at all SHL took the leading position - an average of 3,788 spectators. 

In the season 2013/14 of Supreme Hockey League - All-Russian ice-hockey competition 26 clubs from two countries (Russia (24), Kazakhstan (2) will perform, which will hold more than 700 matches for the right to have the major SHL trophy - «Bratina» and the title - the Champion of Supreme Hockey League.
